Would This Home-made Water Filter Work?
A lot of my half-finished water bottles have gotten dust and other particles in them, so i wanted to make a water filter to get it all out, and still make the water drinkable. so my plan was to stuff a piece of sponge in a tube and pour the water into one side, so the sponge would catch the bad particles and the water would come out clean on the other side. would this work? Does Ion Exchange Water Filter Remove Chlorine From Water?
Just want to know if by installing an ion exchange water filter for my home it will also remove the chlorine and other chemicals in my water supply?or does it only soften the water by exchanging calcium and magnesium ions found in domestic water supplies are replaced by sodium ions, from common salt.in answering the question could you please cite any studies?thanks.
